Colombus Foods (Vandemoortele Group)
Colombus Foods, a member of the Vandemoortele Group, produces doughnuts that are topped with various chocolate coatings.
Here, we installed a double-jacket, stainless steel chocolate piping system from the storage-melting tanks to the coating machine and back again. The piping had to be installed in a very short time during the end-of-year holidays when the facility was closed.
In this case we simplified the design of the system for changing over between one type of chocolate coating and another. The design also includes fittings for upgrades to enable the fitting of an extra storage-melting tank and coating machine in the future.
